Aloha mai! My name is Courtney Kawai Mann and this is my first year with Ka Mōʻī. My goal as a senior this year is to leave knowing I have made an impact. Knowing this, Ka Mōʻī provides a space for creativity as well as a platform where I can share not only my voice, but the voices of students, teachers, and staff members. After high school, I plan to go to attend college and major in political science and/or gender studies. I have always known political science was something I was interested in pursuing after high school but did not truly realize how essential writing is for such a major. So, I strongly believe Ka Mōʻī is just the thing to get me out of my comfort zone, expand my horizons, and provide my peers with truly authentic stories!
