Returning to Normal: 2021-2022 School Year

Students finally being able to walk on our beautiful campus after over a year of distance learning

For the first time in over a year, Kamehameha Schools’ students are back on campus for the 2021-2022 school year.

After completing the 2020-2021 school through full distance learning, many kids are eager to finally be back on campus for a number of reasons. Kealaula Cabilao, a senior, says, “Distance learning was so boring because I wasn’t able to see my friends. That’s why I’m so excited to be back and hanging out with them!”

Another senior, Justin Van Hooser, says, “I actually enjoyed distance learning and preferred staying at home unlike some of the other students, but now that we’ve been back for nearly a month, it isn’t too bad.”

Returning back to normalcy comes with sacrifice and new rules. With the entire student body returning to campus at full capacity, specifically amidst the spread of COVID-19, let’s continue to follow the new rules put into place by administrators in order to protect us and keep us up on the hill.

Warriors, continue to wear your masks, indoors and outdoors and remain socially distanced as best as you can. If you are vaccinated, have your vaccination badge ready to show in homeroom, and if you are not vaccinated, be sure to fill out the daily wellness check in order to come to campus.
