Meet Cheyanne Tahere, a senior here at KS. She started her schooling here at the Kamehameha Kapalāma campus in preschool and is spending her last year on the Kapalāma hill as a member of Ka Mōʻī.
In her education at KS, she came to have a passion and favoritism for her English and Art classes. After graduating, she plans to major in creative writing, hoping to write biographies and fantasy novels. During her year as a freshman, COVID unfortunately hit schools placing students into distance learning, which she and others can agree, was not the best, for dealing with COVID itself and the restrictions that came along with it. With her experience getting back into school in person, though with restrictions, the school socials werenʻt all that appealing with the exception of the food trucks or stands. As she leaves the hill her advice to underclassmen is “Do what you believe is best for you, do not take what others think is best for you”. Cheyanne in her free time enjoys painting, swordplay, and reading books, preferably in the fantasy, Sci-Fi, and Action genres. She also enjoys music from Taylor Swift and Mayday Parade.
