As the school year has progressed, students have most definitely seen the many improvements made to our campus. From the construction of the many solar-powered benches students cannot only have a shaded table but also have charging ports readily available while sitting down for their laptops or phones. To the reopening of the newly renovated Lunalilo dormitory in the lower campus offering another space to comfortably house boarding students.
More often than not Kamehameha underclassmen and upperclassmen who find themselves in the lower campus have seen the bathrooms. From the tiny bathrooms next to the SSC to the large hallways of stalls in Pāki.The bathrooms feature old and rickety stall doors the lack of working toilets even the floors, sometimes flooded by a leaking toilet, not to mention the lack of privacy for the boyʻ’s bathrooms.. Presumably, the lower campus bathrooms have been the way they are for more than a decade, being degraded over time and use. Seeing that the majority of the upper campus bathrooms are kept in better condition than the ones in the lower area of campus, I donʻt see why the school has not yet put in the effort into renovating the bathrooms in the past.
